Description As an integral part of the Finance Department, as well as partnering with our People Operations team, the payroll Specialist will be performing one of the highest visibility tasks in the company. This role will be primarily responsible for processing payroll, updating the company's HRIS system with new information and changes, and completing all necessary regulatory and tax reporting tasks not completed by our outside tax firm. Scope of Responsibilities Process semi-monthly payrolls Manage and update the company's HRIS system Manage regulatory and tax filings not performed by our outside tax firm or payroll provider Work with and help support employees with any payroll issues that may arise Develop and enforce appropriate internal controls Work with our Financial Analysts on any payroll cost forecasting projects Provide support as needed to the accounting department, specifically with month-end completion and reporting Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis including monthly and quarterly payroll and headcount reports Requirements Bachelor's Degree Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation A minimum of 5 years of payroll experience working in a fast-paced high demand company Multi-state tax knowledge Strong working knowledge of Excel Familiarity with UKG/Ultipro preferred but not required Attention to detail An investigative mindset to solve problems as they arise Excellent customer service skills Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member, detail oriented, good communications skills Position can be remote Job Type:

$80K -- $100K
