Your Role and Responsibilities In Canada, IBM Consulting delivers strategic consulting and applications services to clients in Canadian market. We are seeking an Associate Partner who will contribute significantly to the aggressive growth objectives of the team.Reporting to a Partner, the Associate Partner will maintain an effective business relationship with the client's management team and influence the overall success of IBM Consulting's offerings within the market. S/he will work with within the Public Sector to win and deliver largescale digital transformations. Primary interfaces within IBM will be the IBM Consulting team (industry experts, solution owners, your IBM Consulting peers) and the client team (which has overall IBM account responsibility). The incumbent will contribute to the development and delivery of solutions to the industry, based on first-hand experience. S/he will understand the challenges faced by the industry today and will be inspired by the opportunity to work in a team to develop new processes and technologies to overcome these challenges.
Responsibilities:
The Associate Partner will lead the creation of new business opportunities within the sector and will be accountable for success through to the end of client engagements. S/he must have extensive sales and delivery experience, a track-record of effective leadership and must be recognized as an expert within this industry. The Associate Partner will be accountable for the financial success and client satisfaction of engagements. Candidate will define criteria for the scope, risk and profitability of engagements, as well as the viability of new business opportunities. This individual will identify, qualify, assist, and manage the closing of new business. Responsible for developing lasting relationships based on mutual respect with clients' decision makers. Will direct the development of new solution offerings or methods to support the penetration of new markets. The Associate Partner will contribute to and be held accountable for the attainment of business objectives. Individual will also support the health and development of the practice through regular communication and participation in mentoring or coaching activities. Develop strong and trusted relationships with other areas of IBM and with team members to achieve quick responses to client demands. Travel may be required based on business demands Required Technical and Professional Expertise o Solid experience in one of the following sectors (Federal Government and Canadian Public Sector), including intimate knowledge of current industry trends and challenges o At least 10 years of progressive post-graduate business experience o Proven ability to communicate effectively at the executive level o Demonstrated people management ability to lead and mentor staff of all levels o Demonstrated business acumen including superior negotiation skills and contract/profit management o Strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced and dynamic workplace Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Ideally located in Ottawa French language skills are an asset Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
SalesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
