Quality Engineering Manager

Description Responsible for planning, directing, and controlling efforts of the Quality Engineering Group. Manages the conduct of environmental, operational, or performance tests on electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, general industrial, or experimental products, equipment, machinery, controls, and systems. Participates in the planning and development of new products. Reports to:
Vice President of Corporate Quality Essential Duties Effectively manage the Quality Engineering team tasks and assignments as well as provide support to the manufacturing and other departments in order to facilitate the production of high quality products that meet customer needs. Proactively develop and strengthen the Quality Engineering team through coaching, personnel development, recognition, and discipline. Manage the operational, functional, and performance phases of testing product. Provide Quality Engineering support in start-up and ongoing production operations in all Basler Electric manufacturing facilities. Manage the analysis and interpretation of test data, as well as the preparation and presentation of technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel. Participate in the research, development, and design of long-range strategic objectives. Work with department managers in laying out and planning of potential future operational changes. Monitor, organize, analyze, trend, and report on product data relating to the quality of the product and take appropriate action to mitigate risk and improve product reliability where needed. Provide technical support for new product development, sustaining engineering, customer issues, and manufacturing troubleshooting as necessary. Confer with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing issues (i.e. product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, and data interpretation). Provide cross-functional leadership by facilitating collaboration between departments to mitigate risk and find solutions to internal and/or external customer quality issues. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Requirements BS Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline highly preferred. Five years of electrical design and/or Quality Engineering management experience in related areas preferred. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and decision making skills. Ability to manage multiple project and meet commitments. Ability to travel as necessary.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Quality AssuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
