JOURNEYMAN LINE CLEARANCE TRIMMER

The City of Highland seeks qualified applicants for the
position of Journeyman Line Clearance Trimmer. Primary responsibilities
include trimming and maintenance of trees and
brush located on or encroaching upon the city easements and
Right of Ways.

A High School diploma or equivalent, successful completion
of formal IBEW Line Clearance Training Program or equivalent
and at least 10 years experience as a Journeyman Line
Clearance Trimmer. Candidates must be able to operate bucket
trucks, chipper, stump grinder, chain saws, assorted hand tools
and other forestry related equipment on a daily basis as well as
have roping and rigging experience. Candidates must be able
to stand for long periods of time, regularly lift and/or move up
to 60lbs and work in extreme conditions. A valid CDL (Class
B) Driver’s License and CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
Union Journeyman Tree Trimmer Card, EHAP Certification and
Aerial Lift Certification are also preferred. Residency within 12
miles of City of Highland- City Hall is required within six months
of completing the probationary period.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
