Commodity Manager-Mechanical Components

Eaton's Bline divisionis currently seeking a Commodity Manager-Mechanical Components to join ourteam. This positionis based at our Highland, IL facility.
TheCommodity Manager has worldwide responsibility for the development anddeployment of the commodity strategy for the commodities or spending sectorsfor which the manager is responsible. Additionally, this role isresponsible for maintaining global Regional Sourcing Leader (RSL) relationshipsto implement tactical strategies including: improved raw material andfinished goods cost, reducing inventory and lead times, rationalizing thesupplier base, and increasing the Best Cost Country (BCC) spend. TheGlobal Commodity Manager has accountability to performance management of theglobal portfolio of suppliers supporting assigned commodities including cost,quality, lead time, and total value and effectively communicating thisperformance to the cross functional business leadership team.

Youwill manage the development and deployment of long-term sourcing strategies.This will require:
Youwill manage cross-functional groups from appropriate business units (ProductDevelopment, Manufacturing, Finance, Sales and Marketing, and Supply Chain) toassist in the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives.
Youwill evaluate make-buy conclusions and identifying the best source, in-house orout-source; including total cost evaluation of internal manufacturing versussupplier costs.
Youwill identify and evaluate international manufacturers.
Youwill develop Early Supplier Involvement Programs to drive lower acquisitioncosts, improve quality, and reduce complexity.
Youwill lead cross functional business teams to develop the best supply and valuechains for both Cooper Strategic Sourcing and B-Line initiatives.
Youwill evaluate traditional and non-traditional supplier capabilities and supplybase trends to select the optimum supply and value chain strategies that willleverage existing business.
Youwill develop long-term agreements that support Cooper Strategic Sourcinginitiatives.
Youwill manage Supplier Performance and Measure Performance against key businessgoals

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years in the Sourcing /Purchasing / Supplier Quality Arena
Bachelor's Degree from an accreditedinstitution
No relocation benefit is being provided. Allcandidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Lincoln, IL in order to beconsidered.
All candidates must be legally authorized towork in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
7 years material management / supply chainmanagement experience
Ability to influence and drive change in across-functional team environment.
Knowledge of cost drivers in procurement andsupply processes.
Global Mindset and Approach
Previous experience in contracts management
Multi-language is a plus
Multi-culture is a plus
Experience in SAP
Ability to travel as needed not more than 10%
Strong knowledge and expertise with MRPsystems
Data mining ability
Proven ability to negotiate
Demonstrated ability to develop &implement strategy
Strong project management skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
